The Water Resources and Energy Systems Conference 2026

The 1st edition of the Water Resources and Energy Systems Conference 2026 focuses on the nexus between energy, in a context of increasing decarbonization of our societies, and the availability of water resources, even in competition with uses other than the energy sector ones. The purpose of the EW Conference is to promote research on the Energy-Water Nexus by supporting the interconnection of the community working on this topic, thus fostering the exchange of knowledge and ideas between academic research groups and industrial teams. We are committed to developing and supporting a climate of multidisciplinary cultural development in which researchers working in this field of growing scientific and social interest can thrive academically and professionally. Plenary lectures, invited talks, presentations, poster sessions and, finally, social events cover a wide range of thematic areas that will certainly offer cultural insights and ideas to all the attendants.

The Conference tooks place in the ENEA Portici Research Centre (close to Napoli) from the 1st to 3rd of July and it has no registration fees. Experts, researchers, industry professionals, students can contribute to the EW2026 scientific program with an oral or poster presentation concerning one or more of the following topics:

Each submitted manuscript will be reviewed by at least two or more referees.
